'Young Justice' season 3 news, plot rumors: Wally West as main focus; new characters to be introduced

With "Young Justice" officially confirmed for a third season three years after its cancellation, fans have begun to speculate what the animated series will have in store. It has been said that Wally West is alive and will be the main focus of season 3, while other rumors point to new members being introduced.
As fans all know, Wally, or Kid Flash, ultimately sacrificed his life at the end of season 2 in order to save the world. Wally ran alongside Impulse and the Flash in an effort to prevent world destruction, but being the slowest out of the three, Wally disappeared.
It is believed that Wally isn't dead, though, as rumor has it that he will still be a part of the third season. It has also been said that he will be at the center of the main plotline, although this has yet to be confirmed.
Apart from Wally, other young superheroes are also believed to return. The core group consisting of Dick Grayson (Robin), Kaldur'ahm (Aqualad), Conner Kent (Superboy), Megan Morse (Miss Martian), Raquel Ervin (Rocket), Roy Harper (Red Arrow), Artemis, and Zatanna are speculated to be back. It is also believed that Tim Drake, Batgirl, Blue Beetle, Bumble Bee, Arsenal, Wonder Girl, and Impulse will be making appearances.
But new characters are also rumored to be introduced come the new season. Among them are Kara Zor-El (Supergirl), Starfire, Raven, Cain, Batgirl, Cassandra, Vibe, Silver Banshee, Speedy, and Jess Quick.
It is also believed that a new big bad will be the main antagonist of the upcoming season. Darkseid, previously seen coordinating with Vandal Savage, Desaad, and G. Gordon Godfrey, is speculated to wreak some havoc in season 3. If that's the case, then fans can expect the next installment to be more exciting and more action-packed.
However, these plot rumors have not been confirmed, so fans should take this news with a grain of salt for now.
Warner Bros. Animation has already commissioned a third season for "Young Justice," but it remains to be seen where it will air. The general assumption, though, is that it will find a home in Netflix.
