"Battlefield 5" has turned into one of the more anticipated releases even though it hasn't even been officially launched yet, though more than a few rumors have put forth suggestions for when the big reveal might take place.

One of the newest rumors surrounding the game came courtesy of Reddit user "KoXin."

The Reddit user recently shared images of what looked to be documents that are related to the upcoming game.

One of those images also indicated that the game would be officially revealed at the upcoming EA Play event. Specifically, the image indicated that the game would be officially revealed on June 12.

Unfortunately, "KoXin" did not reveal exactly where the images came from, so even though the June 12 launch date is plausible for "Battlefield 5," it's also far from being official at this point.

Still, even if the leak turns out to be true, it does not specify exactly when the game itself will be made available to players, though there are earlier rumors that have already put forth suggestions for when the official release may happen.

One possible release date for the game emerged earlier this year and it can be seen in, of all places, a Swiss retailer's web site. The listing for "Battlefield 5" that can now be spotted on the web site, Wog.ch, indicated that the new game would be released in October 2016.

A potential October release window for the game is a month earlier than the one previously indicated by yet another rumor that surfaced way back in December of last year.

Back in December, an IMDb listing for something named "Battlefield 5: Armageddon" was discovered online and it indicated that the game would be released on November 23, 2016.

The listing has since been taken down, but Gamezone has managed to preserve a screenshot of the entry.

It's hard to figure out exactly which, if any, of the rumors concerning the game will actually end up being accurate, though EA's recent track record when it comes to releasing entries of the franchise may offer a bit of insight into what they may have planned this time around.

The most recent entry, "Battlefield Hardline," was released in March of last year, while the third installment was made available in October 2011 and the fourth then followed in October 2013.

If EA's track record is any kind of indicator, then it may be easier at this point to expect "Battlefield 5" to be made available in October as opposed to any other month, though with official details still lacking, that release date is still just a possibility.
