When it comes to flagship smartphones, BlackBerry is hoping that it can reclaim a significant slice of the market with the Priv. However, when it comes to challengers this year, the iPhone SE, which was released recently, is going to be providing most of the competition. This is how these two devices fare in a face-off.

Design

There are very few devices that can take on the iPhone lineup in terms of design, and the iPhone SE has the very best. It comes with a metal unibody and curved edges and it looks just like the iPhone 5s. There is, however, a fingerprint scanner incorporated into the home button and the device comes in silver, gray, gold, and rose gold. Coming to the Priv, it has a physical keyboard that can be slid under the screen when not in use and its build consists of a metal frame and a back panel that is made from fiberglass. As for colors, the device has only one on offer, which is black, and it does not have a fingerprint scanner.

Display

There is an AMOLED display measuring 5.4 inches on the Priv and it has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 540 pixels per inch. As for the iPhone SE, it is much smaller and comes with an LCD display that measures 4.0 inches and it has a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels and density of 326 pixels per inch.

Hardware

Here the iPhone SE is ahead by leaps and bounds as it comes with an Apple A9 chipset and it is coupled with a dual-core CPU and a PowerVR GT7600 GPU. As for the Priv, it has a Snapdragon 808 chipset on board, along with a hexa-core CPU and an Adreno 418 GPU.

Memory

No memory slot is present on the iPhone SE, while the version on its competitor supports up to 200 GB. As for RAM, the iPhone has 2 GB and the Priv has 3 GB.

Camera

There is an 18-megapixel camera on the Priv, and the iPhone SE has a 12-megapixel version.

Price

Coming to price, the iPhone SE costs $399, while the BlackBerry Priv costs $700 and both are unlocked.
