"Dance Moms" season 6 will return on Tuesday, April 12, with a brand-new episode, titled "Melissa's Announcement." It will be a farewell announcement of the reality show's biggest star.

According to reports, the upcoming episode 15 will reveal Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler's departure from the Abby Lee Miller Dance Company (ALDC). After Melissa Gisoni's announcement about the exit of her two daughters, Abby's "whole world was shattered."

In the promo trailer of "Melissa's Announcement," Melissa tells the other "Dance Moms" cast, "After this season, Maddie's not going to be on the team anymore... This has been such a great ride together." The ladies are then seen in a group hug, Miller then explains to them the effects of Ziegler's departure. She asks, "Don't you guys realize the magnitude of this?"

Aside from the Zieglers' exit, the upcoming episode will also show the cast members competing in Fierce National Dance Competition in Agoura Hills, California. The team, however, isn't going home with a big win this time. Only a few of their performance got a first place ranking. Fortunately, Maddie's dance duet, the lyrical number "Unbreak My Heart," with Kalani Hilliker got them the top spot and the overall win.

Meanwhile, Miller gives Kendall Vertes a shot at doing a duet with Maddie before the latter departs from the show. Their routine, however, only got them the second place in the Teen division and overall.

Maddie's sister Mackenzie, on the other hand, teams up with Nia Frazier for an opening number, earning them a third spot in the junior division and fifth overall.

Melissa has been hinting at her daughters' departure in the previous episode of this season. She revealed that Maddie did not accept some offers so she can train with the other ALDC members. The sisters themselves also don't want to deal with the drama in the show anymore.

"Dance Moms" season 6 airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
