'Final Fantasy 15' news: Additional DLC details revealed; Aranea, Cor and Iris reportedly set to be made playable

The downloadable content packs set to be released for "Final Fantasy 15" are expected to grant players access to some interesting additions, including some new, playable characters.
Developers have already revealed previously that Noctis' friends Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto will soon be starring in their own DLC packs.
The character-specific DLC packs should reveal more about the characters they are focused on, but beyond that, they are also expected to provide players with opportunities to take control of Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto.
Now, it appears that Noctis' closest friends are not the only ones who may be made playable.
According to a recent report from DualShockers, Aranea Highwind, Cor Leonis and Iris Amicitia will be made available as playable characters via a multiplayer DLC pack.
Notably, Aranea, Cor and Iris have already make their presence felt inside "Final Fantasy 15" as guest characters, but they are somewhat limited in those roles.
The DLC versions of Aranea, Cor and Iris may end up being more interesting as players take control of them in battle.
A release date for the DLC pack that features Aranea, Cor and Iris has not been announced yet.
Apparently, Luna is also being considered as a potential DLC addition, but this has not been confirmed so fans will just have to keep their eyes on that situation.
In addition to the DLC packs, developers also previously announced that free updates are also expected to be released for the role-playing game.
Among the additions coming via the free updates are extra story scenes, special items, bosses and even customizable avatars.
Release dates for these free updates have not been announced just yet, so again, players will have to stay tuned to learn more about them.
More news about the different post-launch additions coming to "Final Fantasy 15" should be made available in the near future.
