With the Galaxy S7 now officially launched, the focus of the people now turns to a different Samsung product, specifically, the Galaxy Note 6.

People have eagerly awaited the arrival of Samsung's line of phablets each year, and 2016 appears to be no different.

Unfortunately, very little to this point is actually officially known about the company's next offering, and it's unclear exactly when Samsung might divulge more details.

The good news is that while official details may be scarce, there are still enough rumors out there to cobble together a reasonable idea of what the upcoming phablet may be like.

First off, the upcoming phablet will reportedly retain the screen size of the Galaxy Note 5, albeit with some minor tweaks to make it just a bit more appealing.

According to Value Walk, even though the Galaxy Note 6 may ultimately also feature a 5.7-inch screen, Samsung may opt to tweak the phablet's design enough so that it can be more compact.

Aside from the more compact structure, rumors have also begun to suggest another upgrade related to the phone's memory.

Instead of sporting 4 GB of random access memory (RAM), the upcoming phablet may feature as much as 6 GB of RAM. According to Know Your Mobile, the increase in RAM may hint that Samsung has grand plans for the phablet, although that remains uncertain for now.

It's also unclear if the increase in RAM may lead to higher internal storage offerings.

Still, even if the Note 6 ultimately offers the same storage capacities as its predecessor, users might end up getting more memory anyway, thanks to the reintegration of the microSD card.

As some folks already know, the Galaxy S7 brought back the microSD card, so it seems fair to assume that Samsung will continue that with the Note 6.

An official release date for the Galaxy Note 6 remains uncertain to this point, but recent rumors suggest that the upcoming phablet will likely be launched sometime in August.
