HP Falcon specs: GFXBench listing shows new Windows phone running on Snapdragon 820

There is a new rumor surrounding a windows phone dubbed the "HP Falcon" and it emerged recently when the device was noticed on the GFXBench site. However, as the news about the smartphone emerged it became apparent that this was a new device which had never been seen before in rumors.
Reporting on the HP Falcon, GSMArena states that the GFXBench listing shows it running the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset. This particular chipset was only released last month by Qualcomm and has yet to find its way into a smartphone. It is widely expected that the chipset will be released for mass production at the beginning of next year.
The HP Falcon however, was noted with strange specs on GFXBench notably 1GB RAM. Given that the device was shown running the Snapdragon 820 chipset it is unlikely that it has 1 GB RAM, and could actually have about 3 GB RAM or more. As for the rest of its specs, the phone was seen to have a display measuring 5.8 inches with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Coming to the camera, there is a 20 megapixel main camera which is positioned at the rear of the device and a 12 megapixel version in front.
Another big issue with the device is its rumored name "HP Falcon" which suggests that the device is being created by HP and will run Windows 10 Mobile. However, many industry pundits are skeptical about this. As HP has not indicated that it is interested in creating a Windows phone even though it does have a lineup of tablets running the operating system.
Others have simply suggested that this particular rumor could refer to a new unnamed Lumia device which was earlier reported to be in testing with the Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is expected that the next Lumia device will follow the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL which Microsoft released a few months ago.
