Huawei Honor V8 release date: rumored to arrive with two variants spotted in TENAA

Even though Huawei announced the P9 and the P9 Plus a few weeks ago, the company looks set to bring out a new smartphone soon. The upcoming device, which is dubbed the Honor V8, has already been teased by the company and now it has been spotted passing through TENAA.
The smartphone's passage through TENAA is an important point in its development as this certification is required before it is released in China. TENAA functions at the equivalent of the FCC in China, and the Honor V8 was certified by it along with two other variants. Reporting on the passage of these three devices through TENAA, TimesNews states they were spotted with the model numbers KNT-TL10, KNT-AL10, and KNT-AL20, and it was clear that the listings were for the Honor V8 devices.
As the listings were made public on the website, several of their specs and features were revealed. Among the features revealed were dual cameras on the back of the device. These have already been hinted at in official teasers for the Honor V8, which has been released by Huawei recently. However, comparing the three devices seen on TENAA, it is clear that two — KNT-AL10 and KNT-TL10 — are going to be similar and only differ in terms of colors they come in. The hardware on each of these devices is going to consist of an octa-core processor that is thought to be a Kirin 950 version. As for the display, it is going to be a 5.7-inch version, while RAM is expected to be 4 GB and internal storage is 32 GB.
Coming to the KNT-AL20, the TENAA listing for the device shows that it would have a better processor compared to that in the two other variants. This processor is expected to be a Kirin 955 version clocked at 2.5 GHz. As for the display, it is expected to be around 5.7 inches but will come with a better resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. Finally, the Honor V8 is expected to come with metal bodies, and teasers indicate that it will be released on May 10.
