Although nothing is confirmed yet as of this writing, it is said that the long-overdue chapter 361 of "Hunter X Hunter" is finally arriving in mid-2017 as the manga series' writer, Yoshihiro Togashi, has reportedly sought the help of his wife to proceed with scribing its story.

To recall, "Hunter X Hunter" went into another unexpected hiatus in the middle of this year after the series resumed from a break of almost two years, due to the health condition of Togashi. Since its fan-dreaded hiatus, various rumors and speculations have surfaced as to what the fate of the manga series will be.

However, the latest in the rumor mill is that Togashi's wife, Naoko Takeuchi, has already started working on the long-overdue chapter 361 of the manga with the help of Togashi himself. If this rumor is true, then, fans of "Hunter X Hunter" can look forward to more exciting chapters of the manga series, just like how Togashi does it, as, after all, Takeuchi is no stranger to manga writing, too, being the brains behind the popular "Sailor Moon" series.

Although Togashi is reputed for taking some breaks from the manga titles, it was in 2014 when "Hunter X Hunter" first went on a long hiatus, due to Togashi's back problems that prevented him from working on the manga series for long hours. Finally, after almost two years, "Hunter X Hunter" returned last April for its chapter 349, only to be in hiatus once more some months later.

After it was announced that "Hunter X Hunter" would once again take a break from circulation because of Togashi's recurring back problems, there were rumors claiming that Viz Media, the publisher of the manga series, hired new writers to continue penning the events in "Hunter X Hunter." However, allegedly, their works failed to get the nod of Togashi, hence, nothing materialized. 

Now that it is rumored that Togashi and his wife are helping each other to finish the long-overdue chapters of "Hunter X Hunter," especially its chapter 361, fans can only hope that there's no more stopping the manga from returning next year.
