Apple's latest iPhone devices, released last year, are the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and both have a lot of similarities. The two come in gold, silver and space grey, have touch ID and support Apple's new feature, the Apple Pay. However, both phones still have their differences.

Design

Both devices look extremely similar. The iPhone 6 has a metal unibody and rounded edges and its bigger phablet-sized sibling share the same design. Though this design works for the smaller iPhone 6, apparently, it does not for the iPhone 6 Plus, as users complain about its smooth back easily slipping from their hands. Apple has also included a noteable new feature in their latest smartphones, the Touch ID fingerprint sensors.

Display

The display on the iPhone 6 is smaller. It makes use of an IPS LCD screen, which measures 4.7 inches with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a density of 326 pixels per inch. The iPhone 6 Plus, on the other hand, uses the same screen but bigger. It measures 5.5 inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch.

Specs

The hardware specs of both devices are the same. Each comes equipped with an Apple A8 chipset, a Cyclone CPU with two cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU.

Memory

Apple is known for not providing their phones memory slots so it comes as no surprise that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both do not allow for expandable external storage. Both phones have a RAM of 1 GB.

Camera

The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus each have 8 megapixel rear cameras and 1.2 megapixel front cameras. The only difference is the iPhone 6 Plus has optical image stabilization.

Battery

The iPhone 6 Plus has better batter life as it comes with a 2915 mAh battery. The iPhone 6 only comes with a 1810 mAh battery.

Price

The 16 GB iPhone 6 costs $199 with a two-year contract while the 16 GB iPhone 6 Plus costs $299 with a similar contract.
