'Major Crimes' season 5 episode 8 spoilers: The team probes the mysterious death of a Hollywood star

The team looks into a young Hollywood star's mysterious death in the upcoming episode 8, titled "Off the Wagon," of the fifth season of the American crime procedural drama "Major Crimes."

Lts. Andy Flynn (Tony Denison) and Mike Tao (Michael Paul Chan) are probing the mysterious death of a young Hollywood star by drug overdose. They are also trying to follow the episodes of emotional destruction that this star went through before he died. Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin), on the other hand, finally knows what action to make in handling the pregnancy of his biological mother.

The promo trailer for "Off the Wagon" shows the Major Crimes division of Los Angeles Police Department identifying the dead body of a Hollywood star, who comes back in their midst dead. When the people linked to him are interrogated, they say that they would have known if he is high and he would have more worth if he is alive. Meanwhile, Sharon (Mary McDonnell) tells one of the people involved that the prescription given to the star has sent him straight to the morgue.

In other news, season 5 of "Major Crimes" will be premiering in the UK on Universal Channel this Sept. 12 at 9 p.m. Also, actor Jere Burn is expected to appear for a guest role named Eliot Chase, who used to be an engineer aiming to make a bold statement against his nemesis. From 13 episodes, TNT network ordered an additional 8 episodes, making the current season's run to a total of 21.

Meanwhile, here is the rundown of the previous episode, titled "Moral Hazard."

There was a shootout in a tow yard that left three deaths. Because of the horrible incident, the Major Crimes division had to hunt down a disturbed man who owns numerous guns. Rusty, on the other hand, was keeping himself busy collecting more evidence on the murder of Buzz's father and uncle.
