Last week, Konami released a statement which highlighted a major inconvenient bug in "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain." As the statement said, this bug could potentially corrupt the saved file of the player when they use Quiet as their companion, as mentioned in our previous report. Luckily, the publisher has now finally rolled out the patch which will fix this issue. The bad news, the update will only be available for the PlayStation 4 and on the PC platform for now.

According to Konami's most recent post on the company's official Twitter, it seems like the problem has now been fixed on the two mentioned platforms. However, the publisher did not drop any hints as to when the update for the few remaining gaming platforms will be released.

"The 'Quiet bug' in #MGSVTPP has been fixed for PS4 and PC. The remaining platforms will follow soon! Stay tuned!"

As explained in our previous report, this save file corrupting bug will only happen if the player chooses Quiet as his/her companion when going through "Mission 29" and "Mission 42." This bug, as explained by Konami in their statement, will wipe out the saved data which can result to the player returning back to the first mission and doing the whole thing again.

Since there are still no updates on the update for the other platforms, mainly the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, as an alternative, players can instead use D-Walker in the missions that are currently bugged with Quiet. As said by Reddit user, klinestife, D-Walker could actually work well in those missions, as he received an S-rank while using the A.I. manned robot.

For now, fans are advised to find other companion alternatives when going through "Mission 29" and "Mission 42" of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" while waiting for the patch.
