Moto 360 Sport vs Asus ZenWatch 2: Smartwatch from Motorola lags in design but makes up in sensors

When it comes to smartwatches, the Moto 360 Sport has become a good option for those who want to track their runs with little effort. However, there are a number of other devices which have more style and one among these is the Asus ZenWatch 2. Here is how these two devices fare in a comparison.
Design
The Moto 360 Sport has nothing much to talk about when it comes to design as it has a silicone strap which continues to wrap around the round case of the watch. As for colors, the device comes in three versions: white, black and orange. Finally, in terms of waterproofing, it has a IP67 rating which allows it to remain submerged in one meter of water for 30 minutes.
Compared to this, the ZenWatch 2 is a different beast as it comes with a rectangular body made from stainless steel. Additionally, the device comes in two sizes: a 45 x 37mm model, which is smaller and has an 18 mm strap, while the bigger 49 x 41 mm model comes with a 22 mm strap. In terms of colors, the device has three options: silver, gray and rose gold. Users can choose from straps made from leather and steel, which also come in several colors. Like its competitor, the ZenWatch 2 comes with an IP67 rating.
Both these devices can be paired with both Android and iOS devices as they run on Android Wear.
Display
On the ZenWatch 2, there is an AMOLED display and it has a protective covering of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The bigger model has a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels while the smaller one comes with a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels. As for the Moto 360 Sport, it has an AnyLight Hybrid Display that measures 1.37 inches and it comes with a resolution of 360 x 325 pixels and a density 263 pixels per inch.
Specs
The ZenWatch 2 and the Moto 360 Sport have similar hardware. Each has a Snapdragon 400 chipset which is coupled with a quad-core CPU and 512 MB RAM along with 4 GB internal storage.
Sensors
In terms of sensors, the ZenWatch 2 lags behind its competitor. It has a pedometer, 6-Axis accelerometer and gyroscope, but no heart rate sensor. On the other hand, the Moto 360 Sport comes with GPS, an altimeter, barometer, accelerometer, heart rate sensor, ambient light sensor and gyroscope.
Price
When it comes to price, the Moto 360 has a $300 price tag, while the Asus ZenWatch 2 starts off with a price tag of $130.
