For Nate Diaz, a possible shot at the UFC lightweight title could be a neat goal but at the end of the day, money counts as well.

Diaz was previously speculated as likely to face either champion Rafael dos Anjos or even a match with Robbie Lawler. But one cannot blame Diaz if he does end up fighting Conor McGregor again, particularly at UFC 200.

His conquest at UFC 196 is still the talk of the town and with the UFC wanting to keep McGregor's fame to good use, a rematch looms as the most profitable scenario.

So with that said, out goes the principles and fantasies as Diaz terms the UFC title shot. A lucrative take-home pay will stand out and that looms if he takes on "The Notorious" once again at UFC 200.

Apparently, Diaz is looking for the best fight he can get. The names mentioned like dos Anjos, Lawler and McGregor are apparently the best options he has right now. Money-wise, the obvious is "The Notorious" so Diaz is open to try and repeat his UFC 196 performance.

Diaz, however, wants the fight to remain at the same weight class of 170 lbs. A rematch with McGregor carrying the same conditions is understandable, particularly because there will be no room for excuses, especially on the part of the Irishman.

Critics feel that the move up in weight for McGregor was too much, seeing that he last fought in the flyweight class. But being known as a fighter who does not back down or looks for excuses, McGregor will be looking to prove detractors wrong and maintaining the same conditions is a good way to go.

McGregor's next opponent is likely to be known by this week. But from all indications, a rematch with Nate Diaz seems to be standing out over possible fights with Frankie Edgar or Jose Aldo.
