This year's installment of the "NBA 2K" franchise, "NBA 2K17," will be featuring more international flavor thanks to the inclusion of 21 different European teams.

Recently, Eurohoops.net reported that all 16 teams that will be playing in the upcoming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season will be featured in the new game.

The list of the 16 EuroLeague teams to be featured in the upcoming game includes Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Brose Bamberg, Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, CSKA Moscow, Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, FC Barcelona Lassa, Fenerbahce Istanbul, Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul, Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz, Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv, Olympiacos Piraeus, Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens, Real Madrid, Unics Kazan and Zalgiris Kaunas.

In addition to the aforementioned 16 squads, five more teams from the 7DAYS EuroCup are also going to be featured in "NBA 2K17."

These five teams are: ALBA Berlin, FC Bayern Munich, Ratiopharm Ulm, Unicaja Malaga and Valencia Basket.

While the teams themselves may not be entirely familiar to many basketball fans in North America, some of the squads do feature players who may be more recognizable.

For instance, Real Madrid in particular has a roster filled with players who may be familiar to NBA fans, including some hoopers who used to play for NBA teams such as Rudy Fernandez, Andres Nocioni, Gustavo Ayon and a former top prospect in Anthony Randolph.

Beyond the inclusion of the aforementioned European squads, "NBA 2K17" will also include Australia's national basketball team – the Australian Boomers – upping the game's international flavor even further.

It's unclear if there may be other international squads that will still be added to the upcoming game.

It also remains unclear just how much players will be able to use these international squads inside the game and whether they will be accessible from any mode, so fans will want to tune in to find out about that.

"NBA 2K17" is set to be released for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One on Sept. 20.
