Oklahoma City Thunder trade rumors 2016: Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge potential target?
As LaMarcus Aldridge trade talks spread, among the potential landing spots if the San Antonio Spurs are truly aiming to deal him away is in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are not really searching for a star or prominent player who they can pair with the face of the franchise Russell Westbrook. But various names have already surfaced and now Aldridge joins the list.
Aldridge will be of big help to the Thunder who are trying to have a new identity after the Kevin Durant era. His addition could help them shatter current expectations and have a deep run in the 2016-17 National Basketball Association (NBA) season.
In the long run, an Aldridge-Westbrook duo might even power the Thunder to another NBA Finals appearance.
A potential trade scenario for the Thunder will see them send Alex Abrines, Steven Adams, Ersan Ilyasova and a 2017 first-round pick to San Antonio for Aldridge. These can be enough to get the approval of the Spurs.
Adams is the replacement of Aldridge, while Abrines and Ilyasova can be efficient role/bench players for the Spurs. The future selection is also huge for the organization, especially it is in the opening round of the draft.
This looks good and feasible, but is Aldridge willing to head to Oklahoma City which as of the moment is Westbrook's team?
The reason why Aldridge is in the rumor mill is because he is reportedly unhappy playing second fiddle to Kawhi Leonard, an issue the 31-year-old had with the Portland Trail Blazers as well. It is believed that he left the Blazers due to Damian Lillard becoming the franchise's star.
If Aldridge goes to Oklahoma City, he is facing the same problem of being the supporting star. As of the moment, it seems what he desires is a team that grants him the opportunity to be the main guy.
