Atlus developers Katsura Hashino and Shigenori Soejima have provided an update on the currently in-development 'Persona 5' and at the same time urged excited fans to exercise more patience while waiting for the game. As per this report at Gematsu, Hashino stated, "I know it's been a long wait, but I hope you'll give us just a little more time. Hopefully once it's out, it'll all be worth it in the end."

The highly anticipated follow-up to 'Persona 4' still does not have an exact release date, though Atlus is still projecting a 2015 release.

Speaking about the development of 'Persona 5', Hashino and Soejima both expressed their belief in the potential of console RPGs and how their goal with this latest release is to once again draw gamers to this particular genre just as its predecessor did. Hashino, in particular, is quite pleased at how fans have responded to the Persona franchise's characters over the years. The veteran developer hopes that 'Persona 5' will have the same impact in that the game draws players into its carefully crafted game world and characters.

While information and teases about the game have been restricted to a few teaser videos, Soejima expressed confidence that the Atlus team has plenty of reveals in store for the near future that are sure to whet the fans' appetites as the game draws closer to release.

As Soejima explains, "We still have a lot left to show, so hopefully people keep an eye on us and wait to see what's coming up. Chief among those, in fact, are more allied characters that we have yet to show, but I'd say that we won't be running out of new stuff to reveal anytime soon. So stay hyped and sit tight until we finally get this game out in your hands!"

Incidentally, the released teaser videos thus far have all received mostly positive reviews as gamers praised the game's unique visual aesthetic and dynamic gameplay elements.
