'Pokemon Z' news: Follow-up game speculated to come before the end of 2016; 'Super Bowl' Ad celebrates 20 years of 'Pokemon'

Many "Pokemon" fans have been anxiously waiting for the official announcement of "Pokemon Z," the follow-up game to the 2013 Nintendo 3DS title, "Pokemon X & Y." Unfortunately, developer Game Freaks still hasn't said any word regarding the matter. However, rumors have been popping up here and there, and this time, a new prediction suggests that the installment in the franchise might come out in mid-2016, or even before the year ends, according to the report from Christian Today.
If this turns out to be the case, then the previous rumor about a May announcement for "Pokemon Z" is very likely to happen and the game could very well become available in the market sometime in Q3 or even Q4 2016.
However, since nothing much has been confirmed nor denied by the developer or even by Nintendo, fans are highly advised to take the circulating rumors and predictions with a hefty amount of salt.
Meanwhile, the popular franchise, "Pokemon," is now on its 20th year and as part of its celebration, the companies involved in the series had released a "Super Bowl" ad. Watch the trailer below, taken from the official YouTube channel of the franchise.
Some fans might believe that the "Super Bowl" ad has some sort of reference to the upcoming game "Pokemon Z." Unfortunately, though, it only contained one slight reference to the upcoming Augmented Reality game "Pokemon GO," as can be seen at the end part of the clip where two "Pokemon" trainers go into battle in a stadium.
The monsters came to life during the last part, which is a nod to how Augmented Reality works. Furthermore, according to AdWeek, there is an extended version of this ad, which could point out that more information regarding the franchise might get revealed.
Needless to say, fans should consider this as mere speculation for now until proven otherwise.
