Apple and Samsung have been in the smartphone and tablet industry for quite a while and consumers often compare their products to help make their purchase. This time, it's going to be iPad Air 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2.

Let's begin with the iPad Air 3. Since this tablet hasn't been revealed yet, users can only take information from the rumors swirling around the Internet or even from the concept video. The iPad Air 3 is rumored to run with either A10X or A10 processor and will just copy the screen size of its predecessor. Some may also speculate that it will support the Apple Pencil and feature the 3D Touch display as seen on its more recent products like the iPhone 6s. This may be priced premium, given that this is its newer model, plus the fact that Apple frequently prices its products higher and lowers the price of the predecessor model. It should come as no surprise if the iPad Air 3 will receive the same treatment.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has been in the market since 2015, which means that Apple may have the upper hand in terms of new technology. However, this doesn't mean that Samsung's Tab S2 is a bad purchase, because looking into its specifications, it shows how powerful and versatile this tablet can be. It has the Marshmallow operating system, as well as a Quad-core processor, which is at par in terms of Apple's OS and processor when based on performance. However, what separates this product from Apple is the fact that it has a microSD slot that can store an additional 128 GB. The downside of this tab is the camera that only houses 8 megapixels compared to Apple that might house a 12-megapixel camera on its iPad Air 3. The price of this may be the selling point since this is relatively cheaper than the upcoming iPad Air 3.

As of the moment, consumers may consider Samsung since the specs are already there and performance has already been tested. Apple, on the other hand, has to reveal the final specs of the iPad Air 3, in order to see if users have to switch sides or not.
