Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto: Coach Reynoso talks about Saul Alvarez's next fight with Cotto, reveals a more mature 'Canelo'

The Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Miguel Cotto fight has now been set and it will be held in just a few months from now, specifically on Nov. 21 at Mandala Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Months prior to the match, Alvarez's trailer, Jose "Chepo" Reynoso, revealed that fans can expect a more mature boxer in the ring when Canelo steps in.
According to the report by Boxing Scene last Wednesday, Reynoso talked about Canelo's training and he revealed that the boxer already went through 36 sparring sessions and they are aiming to improve not only his strength, but also his speed.
"We will see the Canelo be more mature [in the ring], a fighter with more experience, calculating," trainer Jose Reynoso told El Vocero via Boxing Scene. "The work he is doing is the best that I've ever seen and on November 21 you will see all the progress."
Reynoso then continued to say that they are hoping to reach 160 to 170 rounds and that they are working on Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's defense speed during the sparring sessions with three different partners. "He sparred nine rounds with three sparring partners and he's already had four of those sessions. I liked how he looked, working on defense speed. We hope to have 160 to 170 rounds."
Aside from the status of Alvarez's training, trainer Reynoso also commented on Miguel Cotto's previous statement regarding Canelo and his team. Instead of getting fired up and replying with a statement, the camp simply decided to focus their attention on training. "We are doing our job, trying to do things the best that we can and time will tell if things were well done, and that's the most important things," said Reynoso.
Alvarez and Cotto are set to bout on Nov.r 21 for the WBC middleweight championship title in Las Vegas, Nevada.
