Seagate Innov8 external USB hard drive released with 8TB capacity

Top-quality hard drives are finally going to arrive with USB connectors and the first one has already been launched in the form of the Seagate Innov8. However, when Seagate announced the launch of this particular hard drive, many were quick to point out that there have been similar versions in the past.
Reports state that Seagate is not the first company to offer an external hard drive. In fact, a company named Verbatim has created one earlier and it came with a sleek design. However, it adds that in terms of storage space being offered, the upcoming Innov8 hard drive from Seagate is a first as it can hold 8 TB of data.
This is a huge amount of space for data storage and it is likely therefore that Seagate Innov8 is going to come in handy for people who find onboard hard drives on laptops and desktops not fulfilling enough. One major benefit of this particular hard drive is that it is portable and can be lugged around by simply detaching the USB cable.
Additionally, the user does not have to employ a power cord when they are using the Innov8 hard drive. This is possible because power is delivered via the USB 3.1 connection, which is also employed to transfer data. On board the Innov8, importantly, is the Ignition Boost technology, which, as described on Seagate's official website, is a breakthrough technology that delivers a boost on startup similar to what how a car battery starts an engine. This new technology is combined with USB 3.1 technology to ensure that people can use the hard drive without plugging it into a power outlet. Seagate also billed the Innov8 as the "world's first" 8 TB hard drive with this particular feature.
The design of this particular hard drive has already been wining accolades, and when it comes to price, the device is set to have a $349 tag. Finally, the Seagate Innov8 is scheduled to start shipping this month.
