'Tokyo Ghoul' season 3 rumors: Ken Kaneki to be part of CCG as Haise Sasaki

(Facebook/Tokyo Ghoul)It is said that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will arrive in March 2017.

Although there is still no certainty as to when exactly "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will arrive, there are already numerous rumors attached to it. The latest buzz is that the upcoming season of the anime will feature Ken Kaneki joining the anti-ghoul police force Commission of Counter Ghoul (CCG) as he disguises as Haise Sasaki.

This is not the first time for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 to be reported featuring Ken Kaneki assuming a different identity, though. In fact, this is one of the most persistent rumors attached to the anime series as, allegedly, Ken Kaneki will lose his memory after he gets defeated by Arima.

While in amnesia, it is said that the protagonist will assume a different identity, Haise Sasaki, and, this time, he will be joining the organization whose main goal is to eradicate his kind: The CCG.

However, it is also speculated that Ken Kaneki being Haise Sasaki will not stay long as he will eventually regain his memory. According to sources, he will even become the leader of the ghouls, the One-Eyed King, after his second battle with Arima wherein the latter will kill himself so that Ken Kaneki can lead the others of his kind.

Meanwhile, as of this writing, it remains uncertain as to when exactly "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will arrive. Reportedly, the transfer of the rights to the anime from Pierrot Studios to Madhouse Entertainment is one of the primary reasons for the delay. It is also alleged that the lack of source materials from the manga origin of the anime is a contributing factor as to why the production of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 has stalled.

Despite the absence of any official announcement, though, it is said that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 will arrive in March 2017. However, this release rumor must be taken with a grain of salt, just like the plot rumors mentioned, as everything is nothing more than a speculation at this point in time.
