'Pokemon Sun and Moon' tips, tricks: How to evolve Alolan Pokemon
Game Freak, developer of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," recently added new Pokemon forms to the game, the Alola Pokemon.
The Alola Pokemon consists of old-school Pokemon that have been modified for the game. There are 14 Alola Pokemon, and 11 of which are evolved forms. A few examples are Raichu, Marowak, Sandslash, Ninetales, and Persian Golem.
The Alola Exeggutor can be obtained by using a Leaf Stone on the pre-evolved Exeggcute. Like the Alolan Exeggutor, the Alola Marowak doesn't have a pre-evolved Alola version. To evolve into this Pokemon, players must get their Cubone to reach level 28, no special stone is needed.
To achieve the Alola Sandslash, players must use an Ice Stone on the Alola Sandshrew to get it to evolve.
Another creature that needs a special stone to evolve is the Alola Ninetales. It requires trainers to use an Ice Stone on the Alola Vulpix to make it evolve into the Ninetales.
For the Alola Muk, players must train their Alola Grimer until it reaches level 38, so it can evolve into this particular creature.
Another evolved form that can be achieved by leveling up is the Alolan Raticate. Trainers simply have to catch and level up the Alolan Rattata until it reaches level 20.
A similar strategy can be used to evolve Alola Dugtrio. Gamers must make their Alola Diglett reach level 26. Once the Pokemon reaches this level, they immediately evolve the Alola Dugtrio.
To achieve an Alola Graveler and Alola Golem, players must make their Alola Geodude and Alola Graveler reach level 25. Once at this level, players should trade the creatures to a friend to make it evolve. Then, gamers must ask that friend to trade it back.
One Pokemon that might take a bit of effort to evolve is the Alola Persian. Trainers must pamper their Alola Meowth to increase its happiness level until it's ready to evolve into an Alola Persian. The same strategy must be utilized to evolve the Alola Raichu. Trainers must pamper a regular Pikachu to increase its happiness level. Once the happiness level is high, players must use a Thundster stone to evolve Pikachu into an Alola Raichu.
