Burgess (Marina Squerciati) will finally decide whether Roman (Brian Geraghty) is more than a friend in the upcoming episode of "Chicago PD."

In "In a Duffel Bag," TV Guide reports that there will be some progress in the budding relationship between the two. Burgess has been reflecting on her feelings for Roman for a while now. Ever since their dynamics changed, she feels awkward whenever he is around. Burgess even asked Lindsay (Sophia Bush) for advice on whether it was prudent to date Roman after her break up with Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger). It was quite obvious she liked him, although she was unsure on how to proceed.

For Burgess, Roman has been a constant person in her life. They have been partners for a long time and have worked well together. Her ex-fiancé is also good friends with him. This perhaps makes her leery of pursuing a relationship with Roman because it may mean tension between the two men. According to the synopsis, the upcoming episode will see a dramatic change between the two of them, as Burgess starts to be more comfortable around him.

Meanwhile, the other couple in the precinct, Lindsay and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer), will have to sit down and talk about their future. The pair's relationship has been tumultuous throughout the season, but things changed in the previous episodes. Lindsay was finally ready to take the chance with Halstead again and it was a happy reunion. Soon, they will reportedly plan to buy a piece of property together, but Lindsay is hesitant to do so, executive producer Matt Olmstead revealed to TV Line.

The showrunner also said that there would be a lot of "Lindstead" moments in the upcoming episodes since the show's creative team wanted to get them back "towards the heat." He also revealed that they have no plans of disrupting what Lindsay and Halstead currently have by bringing back Brianna (Charisma Carpenter), the sexy lawyer slash marijuana dispensary owner.

"Just the simple act of [Halstead] looking for a place to buy really activates her in a way and makes her want to maybe get a little more definition on the relationship," Olmstead said.

"Chicago PD" season 3 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
