'Conan Exiles' update: Full frontal nudity features may not make it to game's console editions

(conanexiles.com)Sony disproves nudity feature of "Conan Exiles" on PS4.

The male and female characters of "Conan Exiles" will not be donning their birthday suits in the game's Xbox One version.

Game developer Funcom confirmed that the frontal nudity of both the male and female characters of the game that was featured in the PC edition will not make it to Microsoft console.

In a talk with DualShockers at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2017 last week, the game's creative director Joel Bylos revealed that Microsoft made it clear that the game's full frontal nudity is "not gonna fly."

However, the upcoming console edition of the open-world survival video game could still come out with partial nudity where the male characters will only go shirtless and their private parts could be covered in loincloth. On the other hand, the female characters will still have their breasts exposed in the game. However, the partial nudity feature remains unclear at this point.

Sony's stance on the game's full frontal nudity was not discussed by Bylos during the GDC 2017 interview, but there is a big possibility that the company will also have the same opinion as Microsoft and disprove the said feature on PlayStation 4.

Bylos also revealed in a separate interview with PC Gamer that he was not expecting to see the overwhelming response of the gamers on the nudity content of "Conan Exiles."

"I expected people to get a five minute laugh out of it," Bylos stated. "And it was way bigger than I expected people to even think about it, it was crazy."

He also acknowledged the fact that the feature became such a huge deal on Twitch, where some players were not happy to see the private parts of the game's characters. "That's why we put in the non-nudity option, right? We were like, well, some people don't want that. And then on Twitch, all the big streamers running around with their d***s out."

Funcom already dropped the early access version of "Conan Exiles" on PC on Jan. 31, but the release date of the game's console editions remains under wraps.
