The upcoming chapter 495 of popular Japanese manga "Fairy Tail" will apparently feature a battle between the members of the Fairy Tail gang and the Spriggan 12. 

According to reports, it is possible that Zera will be able to stitch together a strategy that will allow the Fairy Tail members to defeat the impending threat. Unlike their usual combat tactic, Zera may adopt a stealthier approach to the battle, because they know that their chances of losing will be greater should they attack directly. After all, their enemy has amassed a large army.

The previous episode saw the Spriggan 12 once again. And even though some of them had previously died, they are so powerful that they were able to resurrect them to complete the team. The Fairy Heart was still with Mavis and Zeref told Eileen to use her Isolation Enchantment in order to retrieve it. The Spriggan 12 are ready for battle, with Zeref ultimately planning out a defense formation using his army in order to take on the Fairy Tail gang.

The members of the Spriggan 12 were revealed as follows: Invel (the Winter General), August (Magic King), Eileen Belserion (Scarlet Despair), Azir Ramal (Desert King), Jacob Lessio, Brandish (Country Demolisher), Dimaria Yesta (Valkyrie), Rakheid Dragneel (White Dragneel), Neinhart, Wahl Icht (Adjudicator), Bradman (Grim Reaper), and God Serena (Dragon Slayer).

It is expected that Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus will also be making appearances in the next chapter. Even though Zera will not be anticipating their help, Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus may lend a hand anyway. If this proves to be true, then these two guilds will be able to fend off the army that Zeref has prepared. 

Strategy-wise, Zera may choose to divide and conquer. The Spriggan 12 is a force to be reckoned with, but separating them may even out the odds a bit more. The Fairy Tail guild could get divided into two teams — with one in charge of rescuing Mavis before it's too late.

These are all predictions, though, so fans should take this with a grain of salt. Only time will tell whether the Fairy Tail guild becomes successful in this battle or not.
