'Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them' casting news: Jon Voight, Gemma Chan and Carmen Ejogo join the film

The release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2" back in 2011 was bittersweet. The eighth installment in the film series saw Harry Potter finally triumph against Lord Voldemort. However, given that it was the last film in the series, viewers had to say goodbye to their beloved characters and the magical world that they inhabit.
Thankfully, moviegoers will once again be brought back to the magical world created by author J.K. Rowling next year with the release of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." The film tells the tale of Newt Scamander, an esteemed Magizoologist (the study of magical creatures) in the wizarding world.
The spin-off film is set 70 years before the events in the "Harry Potter" saga. Scamander, portrayed by Eddie Redmayne, travels around the world across five continents in search of new magical species. Scamander's experiences and discoveries are chronicled into what will later on become a textbook required for first year students at Hogwarts.
Filming commenced last August and the cast and crew are said to be filming in the Leavesden Studios in London. The movie is directed by David Yates who also directed four "Harry Potter" films. The script was written by Rowling herself, making the upcoming film her screenwriting debut.
Just recently, the film's production has confirmed that three new actors will be joining the cast of the upcoming movie – Jon Voight, Gemma Chan and Carmed Ejogo. Unfortunately, their roles have yet to be revealed. The new cast members join actors Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Colin Farell, Dan Fogler and Samantha Morton.
There's also great news for "Harry Potter" fans as Warner Bros. announced that "Fantastic Beasts" is intended to be a trilogy, with the next two movies intended for a 2018 and 2020 release.
"Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" will be shown in theaters starting Nov. 18, 2016, in 3D and IMAX.
