Samsung Galaxy S7 Active release date with fingerprint scanner

Samsung has always been keen to invest in new devices in its smartphone lineup. One of these new devices that are eagerly awaited every year is the rugged version of the flagship smartphone. This year, many expect it will be the Galaxy S7 Active, which has been cropping up in rumors.
Reporting on the rumors about the Galaxy S7 Active, Android Beat states that they appeared on a Vietnamese site and were subsequently translated. The rumors importantly come with photos of the Galaxy S7 Active in the flesh and these unsurprisingly show the device with a rugged build. Additionally, Android Beat goes on to state that the design of the upcoming device is going to mimic that of the Galaxy S6 Active that was exclusively released year on AT&T in the United States.
This similarity in design is very clearly seen in the leaked images of the device. However, unlike the Galaxy S7, the upcoming rugged version is seen with physical buttons on its front. Of these three buttons, the central one is expected to house a fingerprint scanner, which has become fairly commonplace on most of the premium smartphones released by Samsung. However, this will be the first that a fingerprint scanner is being added to the Active series since it appeared in 2014.
As for the main feature of the upcoming Galaxy S7 Active, it is going to be its rugged build. It is expected that it will at least have an IP68 water and dustproof rating. Additionally, the device is thought to have an 810G Military standard that will make the device resistant to thermal shock and humidity. As for the hardware on the Galaxy S7 Active, it is expected to be similar to that which is available on the main flagship that released this year with the Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB RAM. Also, the Galaxy S7 Active is expected to have a microSD slot that is not present on last year's device, which will allow external storage to be added.
More news and updates on the upcoming Galaxy S7 Active should arrive soon.
