Galaxy S7 Edge vs Huawei P9 specs comparison: Huawei P9 proves that it can put a good fight

Design
When it comes to premium metal smartphones, the Huawei P9 is among the best as it has an aluminum unibody that has a sandblasted finish. This gives the device a great look, and according to AndroidPit, it keeps fingerprints from remaining visible on the device. As for the fingerprint scanner, it is located on the back of the device, and coming to colors, users can choose from white, silver, gold, gray, and rose gold. On the Galaxy S7 Edge, the smartphone is dominated by its curved display that flows over the right and left side. One of these edges can be customized to display important contacts, panels for apps, notifications, and a night clock. As for the build of the device, it has an aluminum frame, its back is made from glass, and the fingerprint scanner is included in the home button. Finally, the device comes in black, gold, and silver and has an IP68 rating, which means it can be dunked in water.
Display
There is a Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S7 Edge, and it measures 5.5 inches and has a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 534 pixels per inch. As for the Huawei P9, it has an LCD display that is smaller and measures 5.2 inches, and it has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and density of 423 pixels per inch.
Hardware
There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset on the international version of the S7 Edge, coupled with a quad-core CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU. On the Huawei P9 is a HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU and a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
Memory
With each device having a microSD slot, external storage can be added. On the Huawei P9, 128 GB can be tacked on, while the Galaxy S7 Edge supports up to 200 GB. Coming to RAM, the Huawei P9 either has 3 GB or 4GB and the Galaxy S7 Edge has 4 GB.
Camera
Coming to cameras, there are two on the rear of the Huawei P9 and each is a 12-megapixel version, while the one in the front is an 8-megapixel version. As for the Galaxy S7 Edge, it has a 12-megapixel version at its rear and a 5-megapixel version in front.

With a two-year contract, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge costs $299, while the Huawei P9 costs around $680 unlocked.
