The rest of the 11th season of Grey's Anatomy will be back on January 29 on ABC. Fans are itching to find out what will happen to Jackson and April's baby, as well as the conflict between Meredith and Derek.

Meredith and husband, Derek, continues to fight and before Grey's Anatomy rested for the holidays, the two are still going against each other emotionally. Because of the constant bickering of the characters, fans are speculating that Patrick Dempsey might be leaving the show, if not for a while, then for good.

TV Guide has reported in early 2014 that the lead stars, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey signed brand new deals, stating that they will be in the show for two years more. Though this might be the case, fans of the actor fear that Dempsey might leave the show earlier than he's supposed to be.

When asked by the Press Herald when he plans to leave the long-running drama, Dempsey revealed a time frame, and said that he is ready to leave "very soon." Though "very soon" is a general term, the situation surrounding his character has gotten tense, and it wouldn't be a long shot if his character is written out of the season. Shonda Rimes did admit that season 11 will be all about Meredith, and this implies that huge changes will happen to the show's lead character. Since Derek is thinking about taking a job far away from her, a separation could be in the picture.

Meanwhile, fans of the show are worried about Jackson and April's baby, as it was revealed that the infant suffers from a rare bone condition that could take the life of the baby. The next episode will show how Edwards tell Jackson the saddening news. Catherine Avery has always been a supportive in-law to April, and the next episodes of the series will show how Catherine tries to support April in this difficult time.
