After engaging in an intimate moment in the previous season of "Grey's Anatomy," Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Nathan (Martin Henderson) may take things into something more serious on tomorrow night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

When "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 came to a fold last year, one of the many things that got the fans excited for its upcoming season 13 then was the possible romance between Meredith and Nathan. After all, the two already shared some intimacy as they engaged in some steamy moment in the medical drama series' season 12 episode 23.

"I don't know if it'll be a one-time thing or not, but I think that it's emotionless. It's just a physical thing. That's why she's doing it — because she doesn't have to worry about falling in love with another man," Pompeo told TV Line back in May last year.

Now, almost a year after their steamy hookup, Meredith and Nathan are suspected to form something that is more than just sexual. As seen in the promo for the upcoming episode, Meredith is heard telling Nathan, "Are you serious, or aren't you? Coz I'm not joking." As another scene in the teaser shows Nathan asking Meredith out for dinner, it is now suspected that the two are headed for something romantic.

To recall, prior to the season 12 finale of "Grey's Anatomy" last year, it was heavily speculated that Riggs would be the next McDreamy in Meredith's life. To the uninitiated, McDreamy was the moniker given to Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), Meredith's love who passed away in season 11 after Dempsey decided to leave the show.

However, according to recent reports, Pompeo does not have high hopes for her character finding romance once more, something that the actress already said last year.

"There will never be another McDreamy; there is not another Patrick Dempsey. It was a huge loss. No one will ever replace him," Pompeo told The Hollywood Reporter last year.

As Meredith considers Derek as her one great love, would she be open to have Nathan as her last love as they go out for dinner on tomorrow night's episode?
