'Grimm' season 5 episode 11 spoilers: Nick and Monroe search for the secret of the keys; show goes on one-week break

(Facebook/NBCGrimm)Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) and Nick (David Giuntoli) discover the keys in a scene from Grimm season 5.

"Grimm" fans rejoiced when three more keys landed in Nick's hands. With five of the seven keys now in their possession, Nick and Monroe will go treasure hunting. However, fans would have to wait for a while to know what happens to the duo's road trip.

The previous episode was a very satisfying one. Not only did episode 10 feature more of Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Nick's (David Giuntoli) friendship, fans also got to meet the blutbad's Uncle Felix (Rick Overton). Monroe's uncle found a stash of rare books on Grimms and sent it to Portland, thereby replenishing Nick's seriously depleted resources. And as it turns out, Monroe's uncle also had in his possession three of those mysterious keys.

A synopsis for episode 11, "Key Move," teases that Nick and Monroe will move closer to what the mysterious keys hide. Meanwhile, "Black Claw makes a deadly move that will send Portland into disarray."

While the Wesen uprising is a major storyline this season, a lot of fans are no doubt more interested in unravelling the mystery of the keys. After all, the keys were introduced in the first season and were promptly forgotten by the writers. It would be nice if the series resolves that enigma.

The production team no doubt understands this as the trailer for the upcoming episode focused more on Nick and Monroe than on Black Claw. The short clip starts with a shot of a seemingly scenic and quiet town and transitions to Monroe telling the others that he and Nick "are going on a crusade." The two modern crusaders arrive in a town, guided by the map made by the keys. Nick points out a particular church to his friend.

The voiceover hints at the two being closer to evil "the farther they get from home." That certainly seems to be the case as unknown to Nick and Monroe, a bird-like wesen has aimed a rifle at them. The clip ends with a priest woging and is revealed to be a blutbad.

Episode 11 is the second part of the trilogy about the keys, which will reportedly culminate in episode 12, "Into the Schwarzwald." It's also a milestone episode for "Grimm" as it's the series' 100th episode.

However, celebrations will have to wait as the show is on a one-week break.

"Grimm" season 5 will air its 11th episode on March 4.
