'Hawaii Five-0' season 7 episode 2 spoilers: Five-0 team works with rogue MI6 agent; FBI profiler to help with Chess-Piece Killer case

"Hawaii Five-0" returned with a chilling new nemesis — the Chess-Piece Killer. Will FBI profiler Alicia Brown be able to help the team get on top of the case?

The premiere episode of "Hawaii Five-0" season 7 opened with a poignant scene that paid homage to the original Steve McGarrett, the late Jack Lord. Thanks to the wonders of CGI, the show was able to bring back Lord to give Five-0's leader some advice. The episode also introduced Hawaii's new governor and the season's big bad, a killer who places ivory chess pieces in the bodies of his victims.

The Chess-Piece Killer is still out and about in Hawaii, but episode 2 will find the Five-0 team dealing with a different problem. The episode, "No Ke Ali'i Wahine A Me Ka Aina" or "For Queen and Country," will find the team working with rogue MI-6 agent Harry Langford (Chris Vance), who's hunting down a terrorist planning to cause the meltdown of nuclear reactors across Europe. Steve (Alex O'Loughlin) and Danno (Steve Caan) will also be reaching out to retired FBI profiler Alicia Brown (Claire Forlani) for help in catching the Chess-Piece Killer.

Fans are given a glimpse of the MI6 agent in the trailer for the upcoming episode. The clip starts with a well-dressed man easily taking down several armed men. He's later shown being interrogated by Danno and Steve and he reveals he's working on a case involving national security. There's a montage of scenes showing the team working with him.

The team might be working on a new case next episode, but the spectre of the Chess-Piece Killer will still be felt. Showrunner Peter Lenkov describes the new vilain as being very different from Five-0's other enemies.

"It's a very different big bad," Lenkov teased to TV Guide. "Somebody a little bit more cerebral, a little bit more complex than anybody that we've dealt with before."

Forlani's character will hopefully be able to lend her expertise and stop this killer from terrorizing the island. The actress will be appearing for several episodes, but Lenkov admitted to EW that he hopes she could be someone "we could bring back in the near future after this story ends in episode 4."

Episode 2 of "Hawaii Five-0" season 7 will be aired on CBS on Sept. 30 at 9 p.m.
