It's a battle between Western Conference teams as the Houston Rockets host the Memphis Grizzlies at the Toyota Center in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

The matchup is on March 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

These are two teams desperately trying to improve their records as the playoffs come near as they want to lock up their spots in the post season.

As everyone knows, teams in the bottom half of the table are going to face a tough schedule in the playoffs as they are going to get to meet the Golden State Warriors, the San Antonio Spurs, or the Oklahoma City Thunder.

These are tough matchups and both the Grizzlies and Rockets will do everything they can to try and avoid this.

Between the two, the Grizzlies are doing slightly better as they are a few games above the .500 mark. They may no longer be the elite team they once were a few seasons ago, and add the injury of Marc Gasol to the equation and the Grizzlies are definitely weaker than they once were.

However, they are still a capable team and their grinding style of basketball is difficult to battle against so never count the Grizzlies out.

On the other hand, the Rockets are constantly around or below the .500 mark as their woeful season continues.

However, despite being subpar for the entire campaign so far, the Rockets are still in the playoff picture. And with stars like Dwight Howard and James Harden, the Rockets can turn on the pressure on the top teams when they finally find their common ground within the franchise.

The two teams have already met three times this season, and the Grizzlies won the first two battles by a relatively comfortable margin.

However, the Rockets bounced back in the third game and blew the Grizzlies away and they are now looking to tie the series up with a win at home.
