Indiana Pacers free agency, trade rumors 2016: Lance Stephenson having second stint?

The National Basketball Association's (NBA) free agency this year is already full of blockbuster moves, and soon, the Indiana Pacers could join other teams by welcoming back forward Lance Stephenson.
Stephenson has been a gem for the Pacers during his time with the franchise. The 25-year-old was the 40th overall pick by the team in 2010, but as his stay in Indiana continued, he improved.
During the Pacers' past playoff encounters with the Miami Heat, which was then led by the Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, Stephenson was one of the players who stepped up for the team.
Unfortunately in 2014, the relationship between the Pacers and Stephenson ended. "Born Ready" did not accept the team's offer and instead inked with the Charlotte Hornets.
During Stephenson's time with the Hornets, he failed to have the same success he had in Indiana. Following a lackluster year, Charlotte traded him to the Los Angeles Clippers in June of 2015.
At that time, the Clippers were seeking for bench production and saw Stephenson as one of the answers to that problem. Similar with his fate with the Hornets, he failed to flourish in Lob City, and in February of 2016, he was shipped to the Memphis Grizzlies.
In Memphis, Stephenson again became a main option with his teammates being sidelined due to injuries. The Grizzlies made it to the playoffs but health setbacks to key players were too much for them and it led to a first round exit.
Now, Stephenson is available on the market and recently expressed his desire of rejoining the Pacers.
"If (given) a chance I would love to come back home," Stephenson shared with VigilantSports.com.
The feeling might be mutual, with Nate Taylor of The Indianapolis Star tweeting earlier this week:
Lance Stephenson is considering a few teams. The #Pacers, who are are 1 of them, have shown interest in a reunion.

A comeback for Stephenson would be huge for the Pacers who are resurging in the Eastern Conference. But this time, he will likely need to prove himself to get decent playing time.
