LG G6 release date, specs news & update: New smartphone has no modular ecosystem

Due to the lack of success in LG's modular approach to its smartphones, the upcoming installment of the line is said to bring some changes.
With the release of LG G6 highly anticipated, there are a lot of rumors regarding what the device will present. It is believed that the device will no longer carry the modular design, which was seen in the previous installments of the LG G series.
The LG G5 showed an interesting setup for the smartphone as it developed several accessories that were expected to enhance the device.
However, it seems the modular approach did not fare so well with customers. Because of this, it is likely that LG will discontinue the setup for the new smartphone.
Though LG is not planning to bring the modular ecosystem back, reports indicated that the company is not ditching the approach altogether. It was said that those who use the LG G5 will still get to enjoy the new mods for the device.
Nevertheless, many are looking forward to the upcoming LG G6 as it is expected to be unveiled early next year. One of the biggest features expected from the device is its ability to use Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) technology. This will bring a new mode of payment for LG users, which has yet to be introduced to their line.
Other rumors stated that the smartphone will utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chip as well as the Android Nougat 7.0 operating system. In addition, there is also talk that the device will boast a curved OLED screen that will allow it to compete with Samsung's products.
Aside from that, the phone is said to be capable of wireless charging as well.
As for the body, it is believed that the device will retain the metallic body and glass chassis, giving it a classy look. However, there has yet to be any news on when the phone will be released. Many speculate that it could be available soon.
