LG K5 release date, specs rumors: LG K5 and K8 become official

LG has now filled up the missing models in its K-series with the LG K5 and K8 being made official.
The two latest devices are entry-level phones which would normally not get much attention but their impressive make and price-friendly stature make them something worth spreading.
On one end is the LG K5, a device that carries the following features:
- 5-inch display with a 480 x 854 resolution
- 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT 6735 quad core SoC
- 1 GB RAM
- 8 GB of internal storage (expandable)
- 1,900 mAh removable battery
- 5 MP main camera
- 2 MP front-facing camera
- Armed with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box
As you can see, the specs are not that high and impressive for the ones looking for a high end phone. It is more ideal for consumers who are looking for a startup phone or a spare device to carry along. Though its price has yet to be revealed, it is not expected to cost that much. It will come in metallic chassis and is available in gold, silver and titan.
Alternatively, there is also the LG K8 to consider. Seen as the better of the two, the LG K8 comes with the following features:
- 5-inch display with a 720 x 1280 resolution.
- 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT 6735 quad core SoC
- 1 GB/ 1.5 GB of RAM (depending on region)
- 8 GB (or 32 GB internal storage - depends on region) with expandable storage
- 8 MP main camera
- 5 MP front camera
- 2125 mAh removable battery
- Armed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box
Among the striking features of the LG K8 include a metallic body, a 2.5D Arc Glass and a woven back cover. It is available in gold, indigo and white shades.
Like the LG K5, the pricing has not been announced, though all that could be made official this week. The LG K5 will be available in Europe, CIS and Latin America while the LG K8 will be available in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Latin America.
