'Limitless' season 1 episode 20: Sands is free from Sen. Morra's control
"Limitless" season 1 takes a break next week before it returns with the upcoming episode 20, titled "Hi, My Name is Rebecca Harris..."
CBS, the American comedy-drama thriller series' network, has not yet released the synopsis or the promo trailer for the next episode. However, judging from the buildup of the previous episodes, it is possible that the show might not need the presence of US Senator Eddie Morra (Bradley Cooper) since his fixer named Sands was released from his control.
Three more episodes left until the first season finally closes, and Sands has gained a good number of groups that could act as the bosses below him to his nemesis. Meanwhile, Piper can leave the country freely and she could also continue synthesizing the enzyme for the NZT pill. Morra will possibly announce his presidential bid. Rebecca can also freely investigate the person within the NZT circle who wants Morra to be dead. Brian, however, will have a hard time adjusting to the new rules imposed at him by the FBI after going MIA.
The previous episode, titled "A Dog's Breakfast," showed the return of Bradley Cooper as Morra, who was the author-turned-senator genius in the 2011 film with the same name. Although Cooper only has a cameo role in the series, he spends most of his time behind the show as one of the executive producers.
Lead star Jake McDorman, who plays Brian, shared his experience working with Cooper in an interview with ET Online last year. He said, "He's so involved in the process in front of the camera and behind the camera that I just really have learned a hell of a lot from being around him."
To recap "A Dog's Breakfast," Morra made contact with Brian just when he was placed in a whole day surveillance by the FBI, revealing his double life.
"Limitless" returns on Tuesday, April 5, at 10 p.m. on CBS.
