'Naruto Shippuden' episode 482 and 483 spoilers: Upcoming episodes to focus on Gaara and Kakashi; viewers reportedly unhappy with boyhood arc

(Facebook/Naruto)"Naruto Shippuden's" Boyhood Arc is apparently not well-received among fans.

The decision by "Naruto Shippuden's" writers to slam the brakes on the action and focus on filler episodes have left fans perplexed and unhappy. And it looks like viewers will be getting more of the same in episodes 482 and 483.

Fans were surprised and disappointed when reports surfaced that instead of covering chapter 700 of the manga, the anime series chose to go a different route and showed side stories of the various characters. The series introduced a new story arc that will reportedly play out in episodes 480 to 483. The new storyline, "Boyhood Arc," commenced in episode 480, which focused on Naruto and Hinata, while 481 revolved around Sasuke and Sakura.

The story arc continues in episode 482, which reportedly focuses on Gaara and Shikumaru. Viewers will see the jinchuriki's interactions with his siblings Kankuro and Temari and a clip for the upcoming episode hints at the young lord's quiet, if lonely, childhood. The episode will also touch on Gaara's relationship with his uncle Yashamaru. Meanwhile, it would seem that even as a youngster, Shikimaru's laziness has been evident. Fans will also see him meet up with future members of Team 10 — Choji and Ino.

On the other hand, episode 483 will reportedly revolve around Jiraiya and Kakashi's childhood lives. There are speculations that this episode might touch on some disturbing issues as a young Kakashi is said to be the one who discovered his father's body after he committed suicide.

Unfortunately, it seems that a lot of fans are not too keen at this new story arc, particularly its sub par animation and soundtrack. However, there must be a reason why the show's creative team has opted to include these stories. Fans would just have to ride it out and see.

Episode 482 of "Naruto Shippuden" Boyhood Arc" will be aired on Nov. 3, while episode 483 will follow on Nov. 10.
