'One Piece' episodes 769 & 770 spoilers, plot news: The search for the Poneglyphs continues

(YouTube/ HD)"One Piece" Episode 770 continues the search for the Poneglyphs, which will eventually lead to the legendary treasure.

The long-running anime "One Piece" has just finished episode 769, and the upcoming episode teases that the discovery of the legendary treasure may be drawing near, that is, if they can find all four poneglyphs. The series is slowly dawning to the realization of Luffy's dream to become the King of pirates.

In episode 769, the famed Raizo of the Mist, who is believed to be the retainer of the Kozuki family, is released from his chains. The Straw Hats ask him to perform ninja techniques, which he initially declined, yet, after seeing their dismay, he finally obliges. When he goes outside of the cave, he weeps after seeing the rubbles of Kurau City.

Meanwhile, the archaeologist Nico Robin was able to decipher the red Poneglyph within the Whale Tree. Pirate lords Inuarashi and Nekomamushi, who originally were rivals but agreed to collaborate, explain that it is one of the four road Poneglyphs, which upon discovery of all would lead to the location of the famed One Piece.

The promo teaser for episode 770 teases further the attempts to locate the rest of the Poneglyphs. In the process of doing so, Luffy will begin to understand the deep and enigmatic connection between the Poneglyphs and the Kozuki clan, which involves Momonosuke as well. This will further bring light on the samurais' great sorrow.

What is interesting, though, is if the Kozuki clan is linked to the Poneglyphs, will they know the location of the markers to hasten the hunt? If so, the Straw Hats may have the upper hand in the question, considering they have Raizo with them. There is that argument, however, that Raizo of the Mist is an unpredictable fellow, and one might expect too much of him. He might not know anything at all in the end.

Episode 770 is dubbed as "The Secret of the Wano Kingdom – The Kozuki Clan and the Poneglyph." Tomohiro Nakayama is in charge of screenplay, Kentaro Fujita takes care of the storyboard and is also the episode's director, while Shūichi Itō will be the animation director.

"One Piece" episode 770 is set to air in Japan on Dec. 25, 2016.
