It has been a couple of months since 'Switched at Birth' last aired on the small screen, but season 3 will not end until a Christmas special has been released.

The episode, called "Yuletide Fortune Tellers," will see what things could have been like if Bay and Daphne were not switched and lived in the families they were intended to grow up in.

The synopsis of the episode says that the two girls are not exactly pleased with how their moms chose to celebrate Christmas. A joint dinner will happen, and Daphne and Bay goes to sleep, only to wake up the next day finding out that the switch did not occur.

This ultimately changes the family dynamics that the two girls were accustomed to, having grown up in different kinds of families financially and value-wise. Bay grew up in a wealthy subdivision called Mission Hills in Kansas, while Daphne grew up in a class C neighborhood in East Riverside, Missouri.

The episode will show how Bay is striving to become an Olympian, while Daphne is slowly becoming an artist with an exhibit about to open. It is uncertain if the story line will carry over to the upcoming Switched at Birth season 4, but it will surely be an exciting thing to watch if it did.
