'The Originals' season 4 premiere spoilers: 'Teen Wolf' alum joins cast; The CW boss hopeful to get season 5

While fans wait for The CW's vampire-themed series' "The Originals" return for season 4, here is a roundup of details that are expected to be shown next season.
According to TV Line, "Teen Wolf" star Keahu Kahuanui joins a brand-new group of werewolves as he is cast for a recurring role in "The Originals" season 4. Kahuanui will be introduced next season as Josh's (Steven Krueger) new boyfriend named Eddie. The new character is described as a "sweet, funny, sexy and charming" guy who is interested to remain human. Kahuanui joins "Containment" star Christina Moses and "Sleepy Hollow's" Neil Jackson.
At the Television Critics Association summer press tour, president of The CW television network Mark Pedowitz revealed his hopes for the upcoming seasons of the network's shows. Since "The Originals'" is a spin-off of "The Vampire Diaries," which ends this year with season 8, Pedowitz hopes for the former to do well on its own and be able to get a fifth season.
The cast of the series teased a little bit about the upcoming season at the San Diego Comic-Con. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Phoebe Tonkin teased a little about her character Hayley Marshall.
"I think it's kind of been Hayley and her daughter for the last five years," said Phoebe Tonkin. "Grandma Mary's coming back, and she's kind of a babysitter here and there, looking after her while Hayley has to go do adult things like looking for weird plants and herbs and things. But yeah, it's kind of just been Hope and Hayley. And obviously Hope and Hayley have grown a bond, and now she has a daughter who is a little girl and not a baby."
Season 4 may also see Klaus (Joseph Morgan) struggle to get back up, after his sacrifice for his siblings last season had a different result.
"The Originals" returns on The CW for season 4 in 2017.
