Vast and breathtaking expanses are featured in the latest The Witcher 3 trailer, entitled "Traveling Monster Hunter," and coming just months ahead of the game's release date.

"The life of a professional monster slayer is quite an adventurous one. Your journey in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will take you through countless battlefields, villages, castles and ruins--hundreds of points of interests, many of which will tease you from miles away. In Wild Hunt, each of these places is handcrafted, with its own backstory, challenge and a reward waiting for you at the end," the caption of the video stated.

In the trailer, The Witcher 3 protagonist Geralt of Rivia is seen traversing beautiful locations on horseback. The scale of diversity and fidelity of the graphics have elevated the excitement and eagerness among fans and non-fans alike.

Speaking of Geralt, many think that the character is too good looking for a mutated superhuman that is tasked to kill monsters.

"The truth is, [Geralt] was a relatively handsome man," CD Projekt Red's Michal Platkow-Gillewski told Eurogamer's Robert Purchese at EGX.

Platkow-Gillewski continued, "He could have love affairs with a lot of women - that's in the books, and the same happens in our games. Looking as a monster, you couldn't achieve that."

"Maybe we were looking for a perfect proportion of his face and in previous installments we weren't there. This [Witcher 3 portrayal] is my favorite, and there is no canonical Geralt face. It's the first time I heard that someone doesn't like someone because he's too handsome - but if he's so handsome, I'm not so sure," Platkow-Gillewski added.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt release date is currently scheduled for Feb. 24, 2015, on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Bandai Namco Games will distribute the title across Europe, while Warner Bros. is the official publisher in the North America region.
