Audi has announced that a new 2016 A8 luxury sedan model will be arriving to the U.S. The 2016 Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport model has been given more power and comes with enhanced luxury equipment.

The 2016 Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport model is powered by the same a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine but produces 450 horsepower, 15 more horses than the previous 4.0T model. It is mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and features Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The Audi A8 Sport model has also been given new exterior styling. It now comes with a more muscular and aggressive look.

The front fascia comes with larger air intakes that give the sedan a more commanding presence on the road. The lowered front bumper also gives the sedan a performance-oriented look. The sides look wider thanks to more prominent rocker panels.

The reshaped rear bumper also looks more dynamic. The new A8 Sport sedan comes with standard 20-inch five-double spoke wheels but can be upgraded to 21-inch wheels.

Audi also brings luxury and ultimate comfort to the sedan's interiors. The Audi sedan comes with Standard Executive, Luxury and Sport style packages.

The cabin features 22-way Comfort front seats with Valcona diamond-stitched leather interiors. The seats also come with heating, ventilation and massage functions. The same functions are optional for the rear seats.

The 2016 Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport model also comes with standard Alcantara headliner, a panoramic sunroof and acoustic glazing on the windows.

The sedan comes with innovative driver assistance functions including side assist with pre sense rear. It may also come with an optional head-up display with navigation information and adaptive cruise control with stop & go.

The 2016 Audi A8 L 4.0T Sport aims to compete with BMW's 7 series and the Mercedes Benz S550. Price for the luxury sedan starts at $90,500 with an additional $925 for destination fee.
