'Attack on Titan' season 2 to be released this year

The "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be released this year as opposed to the previous announcement of a January 2017 release.

According to GameNGuide, the long wait will soon be over as the script for the second installment is almost complete.

Rumors behind the delay tell of writers lacking enough materials to last the entire season. There were also some reports that the producers will not make "Attack on Titan 2" a sequel to the first installment and that it will have its own storyline.

The trailer video of the "Attack on Titan" season 2 that was leaked online has more than two million views and is still growing. The fans looked at this as an indication that production is underway.

This likewise led to speculations that the "Attack on Titan 2" will be preponed. However, this was not confirmed yet by the producers nor the director.

Reports say that the delay was possibly due to the involvement of director Tetsurō Araki in other TV and film projects and the development of the manga. Araki is the director of the anime series, "Kanaberi of the Iron Fortress," by Wit Studio.

According to Hall of Fame Magazine, the preview that was posted on YouTube shows Hange and her troops discovering the face of a Titan on the wall. A soldier was seen asking his commander to order him to kill it. Without any doubt Pastor Nick then orders the soldier to kill it.

Hange in the trailer asked Pastor Nick why a Titan is stuck in the wall but he replied that he is too busy to take care of his people, the churchgoers. Hange did not seem to accept his explanation and at one point confronted him and asked him to spill the truth.

Pastor Nick, however, kept his silence until the end with Hange giving up. After all, Hange cannot kill a pastor even if he turns out to be a traitor.

Watch out for the next season of "Attack on Titan" or check out a copy of a manga.
