The upcoming episode of "Girl Meets World" season 3 will be a Halloween special and will see the lives of Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) in a world where they never met.

The synopsis of the new episode states that Auggie (August Maturo) will be the narrator of the story. It will feature what Riley and Maya would have been like if they never became friends.

An exclusive sneak peek of the episode also sees Auggie in a ghost costume as he narrates the story. It apparently all starts out with a young Riley and Maya. Young Riley is playing with her teddy bear in her room, while a young Maya tries to get her attention through the window. Riley doesn't notice her and Maya gives up. This sets up a world where they never became friends. In present time, Riley dons a green, polka-dotted dress with a matching ribbon for her hair. She greets her best friend in the locker, who happens to be her teddy bear. Ever cheerful and optimistic, Riley meets a goth-like Maya sporting a much darker look. 

A separate promo trailer has also been released. It teases what everyone else would have been like if Riley and Maya never met. It sees Lucas (Peyton Meyer) as an outcast, wearing cowboy hats in class. And although Riley and Maya's lack of friendship has its effects, it would seem as though that it did not affect Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis) since he's still the same.

In other news, it has been previously reported that a fourth season renewal for the Disney Channel show is still up in the air. So far, the entertainment giant has yet to make any announcements regarding "Girl Meets World" and even Blanchard is uncertain about the show's future.

The Halloween special of "Girl Meets World" will air on Oct. 14 at 8:30/7:30c on Disney Channel.
