"Naruto Shippuden's" 468th episode promises to be intense and action-packed now more than ever as Master Hagoromo will finally decide who between Ashura and Indra will be his successor and the new leader of their clan in the episode dubbed "The Successor."

Looking back on episode 467 entitled "Ashura's Decision," Master Hagoromo sent his two sons on a mission by visiting villages that they will be encountering along the way and checking for themselves if that village is currently having troubles. The brothers will have to find a solution to these problems and return to their father once the issue is resolved.

Indra was able to resolve the issue within the village that he went to and immediately went back to his father. Ashura, on the other hand, went to a village where the people are having problems with a huge tree that secretes massive amounts of sap that made the land flourish. However, the sap that seems to be beneficial to plants is poison to humans, making them ill. Hence, Ashura suggested digging a well but the idea was doused by the fact that that the village sits on a large bedrock that stretches across the land. Still, Ashura didn't lose hope and was determined to dig a well and even taught the villagers his technique. With the villagers help, they finally dug up water and hurried back to his father.

In the meantime, the preview for the next episode gave fans the impression that Master Hagoromo might be entrusting the clan to the younger Ashura, which will make Indra enraged towards his father and brother.

It was earlier reported that Indra's returned to their village was far too quick for such mission which made his father quite suspicious. Moreover, there are speculations that Indra might have used his Sharingan to quickly end his task.

Episode 468 entitled "The Successor" will air on July 21.
