'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' cast news, rumors: Keira Knightley to make surprise cameo

Fans were distraught when 2011's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"did not see two of the franchise's principal cast members, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. However, the upcoming fifth installment, subtitled "Dead Men Tell No Tales," will see Bloom back in action. And as if that weren't enough good news, it has been recently revealed that Knightley will return as well.
Bloom starred as Will Turner in the first three films, and Knightley played opposite him as Elizabeth Swann, Will's love interest-turned-wife. And while the fourth film in the series focused mainly on Johnny Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow, fans will be happy to know that the fifth film will be returning to its roots.
According to TooFab, Knightley has apparently filmed scenes for the upcoming movie in secret. Her return is intended to be a surprise, which is why they are keeping it under such tight wraps. An insider told the media outlet that Knightley will be appearing in a "small cameo during the end credits," but this is supposedly going to set up a bigger part in "Pirates of the Caribbean 6."
As of now, though, no subtitle has been revealed for the sixth film. This is because Disney has yet to confirm that a sequel to "Dead Men Tell No Tales" is in the works. And while the fifth film will carry that subtitle in most countries, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain are apparently exceptions to the rule.
In the UK, Disney will be releasing "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" with the subtitle "Salazar's Revenge." Meanwhile, in France, Italy, and Spain, moviegoers will see it under "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Revenge of Salazar." It is unknown why Disney has decided to do it this way, but speculations are rife that it may involve issues with trademarks or other similarly titled films.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will hit theaters on May 26.
