'Prison Break' season 5 update: Michael Scofield a different character

Fans of "Prison Break" are expecting a different or perhaps a darker Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) in season five. Moreover, the show will feature menacing characters and storylines as they cover sinister issues about terrorism that are actually haunting the world right now.
This revival season shows that Michael is indeed alive but is trapped in a prison in Yemen. In the "Prison Break" trailer released during last month's San Diego Comic-Con, Miller schemes a breakout plan which somehow starts with gum. His brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), will help him escape this prison.
In an interview with the press, Miller teased that his character, Michael, might not be the same man the public knew and loved. Miller stated that Michael might not even qualify as a good man, as mentioned in a report by Digital Spy. Though the actor didn't state his character's fate, he did tell the media that the heart of the upcoming season will be Michael's journey. Hence, Michael will either find the redemption he needs after being incarcerated in a horrible prison away from his family or his character will take a dark turn.
According to another report, the fifth season will be darker as they tackle issues dealing with terrorist groups Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and Islamic Shashantantra Andolon (ISA).
The previous season of "Prison Break" broke many hearts when the series ended with Michael's death. But when the show received a lot of love on Netflix, Fox television group and "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring immediately pushed for a new season. With Miller's approval, the revival of the show was soon underway.
The fifth season of "Prison Break" will be a nine-episode series, and it will air on Fox in January 2017.
