'Suits' season 5: Showrunner Aaron Korsh sheds light on Mike Ross' shock arrest

The mid-season finale of "Suits" was shocking and so much of a cliffhanger, to say the least. Mike was arrested for conspiracy to commit fraud in the last episode and despite the fact that the return of the show is still months away, fans are dying to know who threw Mike under the bus.
In season five, Mike is in the cusps of finally marrying Rachel and according to some reports, this might be the main reason why the mystery person ratted him out. Rachel comes from a well-off family and her parents have been breathing down her neck regarding her marriage. Because of that, Rachel's parents are the prime suspects for his arrest. This theory remains unconfirmed though and Aaron Korsh, showrunner of the series, while remaining mum, was quick to clear rumors surrounding the arrest.
In a recent interview, Korsh revealed that he initially did not deem it important to reveal who the culprit was. But because of the reaction of the show's fans, he assured that his or her identity would be revealed.
"In real life you might never know who did it. The bigger question is: What are we going to do about it? But after being presented that question by a hundred different people it's like, 'OK. I guess we need to explore this thing'. We're not going to find out in [episode 11], but we will find out down the line," he said.
He further explained that the arrest would affect the direction in which Mike's life is heading. Although he revealed that they have yet to figure out the finer details, Korsh advised fans to expect the changes coming.
"So Mike's arrest is definitely gonna change the trajectory of what would've happened had Mike not been arrested, had they just moved on. We're still working that out."
The latter half of "Suits" season five is set to premiere in January 2016.
